Bre Tiesi is getting candid about experiencing postpartum depression after welcoming her firstborn in July 2022.
"I had no control over my mental state, my emotions, or anything," shared the Selling Sunset star during an episode of the "Not Skinny But Not Fat" podcast on Tuesday, October 10. "It was an incredibly intense experience."
Tiesi, aged 32, added, "You feel powerless, and that's what makes it so frightening. You question yourself, thinking, 'What's going on with me? Nothing is wrong. I have a beautiful baby, so why am I crying? I'm not the type to cry. What is happening to me?' It's just an inability to gather oneself."
Tiesi's only child is Legendary, whereas Cannon, who is 43 years old, has 12 children. The host of The Masked Singer is also a father to Moroccan and Monroe, both 12 years old, with his ex-wife Mariah Carey. Additionally, he has children named Golden Sagon (6 years old), Powerful Queen (2 years old), Rise Messiah (1 year old) with Brittany Bell, twins named Zion and Zillion (2 years old), Beautiful Zeppelin (11 months old) with Abby De La Rosa, Onyx (1 year old) with LaNisha Cole, and Halo (10 months old) with Alyssa Scott. Unfortunately, Cannon and Scott's son, Zen, passed away in December 2021 due to a brain tumor when he was 5 months old.
On the other hand, Tiesi felt unprepared when she first became a mother. During her recent podcast appearance on Tuesday, she expressed how people tend to deceive others about the realities of motherhood. They fail to mention the challenges and everything that accompanies it. Tiesi believed she would quickly recover mentally, physically, and in every aspect, but the reality proved to be different.
The Netflix star disclosed that she was just six weeks postpartum during the shooting of season 6 of Selling Sunset, where she made her onscreen debut. "I practically should've still been in need of a diaper and staying at home," she reminisced.

"And then there were the pressures of being in the television industry and constantly worrying about the possibility of saying something that could lead to my cancellation or ruin my career, especially considering the potential for poor editing." Ultimately, Tiesi confessed that she remains unsure how she managed to successfully handle everything and believes that she simply pushed all the stress and memories of the initial months of filming out of her mind.
Despite facing criticism for their unconventional romance and family, Cannon and Tiesi remain steadfast, with Tiesi defending her "best friend," Cannon. She believes that regardless of what others may say, he is a good person and a responsible individual, which is important for their child.
Although Cannon has multiple children, Tieisi disclosed that she has no intentions of extending her family in the near future. She mentioned on the podcast that she feels her current career is already challenging, and experiences guilt about being away from her child. With demanding film schedules and additional work, she believes it would be unjust to balance any other commitments.
