Selling Sunset Star Emma Hernan Calls Losing Virginity at 14 a Great Experience

Emma Hernan has no regrets about her first time having sex.

"I lost my virginity in a great way. It was sweet," the Selling Sunset star, 32, said on the Thursday, May 30, episode of Nick Viall’s “The Viall Files” podcast. "I had 'Take Me Breath Away' from Top Gun playing. That was the only way that I would do it! There were rose petals on the bed. It was a whole thing; I’m a romantic."

Hernan shared that she lost her virginity to her high school boyfriend when she was young. She mentioned that she was only 14 years old at the time.

"It was a great experience," she recalled. "I've always been interested in that, so yeah, it was a great experience. And I only had that one partner. I was 14, almost turning 15, so let's just say 15!"

Hernan received advice from her mother before sleeping with her then-boyfriend for the first time. Her parents had very different views on sex. Her dad believed in waiting until marriage, while her mom was more open and even taught her about certain sexual activities like giving a blow job. Hernan recalls how their house became the party house when her dad had to stay at the firehouse, allowing her boyfriends to stay over when her dad was working. Her dad's beliefs were very conservative.

Hernan thought her mom was like the "cool mom" character from Mean Girls, similar to Amy Poehler. Her dad now knows what happened during that time.

She was in a 10-year relationship with her high school sweetheart. After that, she started dating Peter Cornell, a realtor from Oppenheim Group, but they broke up in 2018.

Hernan emphasized that he has never had a one-night stand and it's something he could never do.

Hernan and Cornell, who previously dated former Selling Sunset star Christine Quinn, were briefly engaged before Hernan decided to end the engagement.

"It was a rebound that turned out badly," she shared, mentioning that she felt "scarred" by the "nightmare" of the failed engagement for many years.

Now, Hernan is slowly getting back into dating, but she is not using any apps. (She had mentioned before on Selling Sunset season 5 that she matched with Ben Affleck on Raya, although he denied it.)

"I've been dating recently," she playfully mentioned when asked about her love life. "It's been a while since I last dated. I was briefly engaged before, but I haven't been in a relationship since then."

Although she has responded to men reaching out to her on social media, Hernan is seeking a mature partner who shares her values.

Viewers might get a closer look at Chrishell Stause's dating life on Selling Sunset season 8. In season 5, she flirted with property developer Micah McDonald.

Chrishell mentioned that she would be open to dating someone in the real estate industry. She enjoys meeting people in the field and being social. While she may not date another real estate agent, she is open to dating a developer or someone similar.

When asked whether she’d ever date one of her clients, Hernan played coy. “I mean, kind of,” she hinted. “You’ll see a little bit on the next season.”
