Call of Duty is preparing for the launch of Modern Warfare 3's first full season, which will see the game integrated with Warzone. The update on December 6 will introduce the new Urzikstan map, a holiday LTM, and additional features to the battle royale mode.

With the new season comes a new battle pass to progress through. The Season 1 pass for Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone offers opportunities to unlock more weapons, operators, and cosmetic items. Two new operators, Nolan and Dokkaebi, will be introduced, along with five free new weapons and nine aftermarket parts to unlock.

The $30 premium BlackCell pass is making a return, offering the new Abolisher operator, extra tier skips, exclusive BlackCell skins, and more. Exciting new shop bundles have also been announced for The Boys, Dune, and Santa. Players can look forward to new daily, prestige, and seasonal challenges as well.

In Season 1, the new Urzikstan map replaces Al Mazrah and features 11 named points of interest. The map is currently playable in MW3's Zombies. Along with the standard battle royale map, players can also continue playing the Ashika Island and Vondel maps in their Resurgence modes. However, these smaller maps will be temporarily removed and then return 48 hours after the launch of Season 1, making Urzikstan the only available map for the first two days of the season.

Warzone Season 1 Roadmap

In addition to the new content, the season will also incorporate features from Modern Warfare 3, including movement mechanics and the classic red dots on the mini map. Players can expect new methods of navigating the map, such as horizontal ziplines and a drivable train.

Urzikstan now boasts a new Gulag, featuring a simple three-lane design with randomization, including a nighttime version where players are equipped with night-vision goggles. Instead of capturing a flag, players can use an ascender to escape the arena.

Other gameplay improvements have been introduced, such as the option to manually equip the gas mask, the return of Warzone 1's loot rarity, and improved visibility for water combat. Players will also have access to a backup pistol specifically for combat situations when swimming, climbing ladders, and ledge hanging.

Warzone is getting into the holiday spirit for Season 1 with the Santa's Slayground event. Players can look forward to a limited-time mode featuring "Zombie Santa", undead deer hunting, present openings under holiday trees, new event challenges, and more.

Modern Warfare 3's major seasonal update brings new core maps, the revival of Gunfight, and new LTMs. The Zombies mode is also getting a new story act, Dark Aether Rifts to explore, additional schematics to unlock, and a new Wonder Weapon.

Editor's P/S

As a Gen Z fan, I am thrilled about the upcoming integration of Modern Warfare 3 with Warzone. The new Urzikstan map looks absolutely stunning, and I can't wait to explore it and discover all its secrets. The new LTMs also sound like a lot of fun, and I'm especially excited about the Santa's Slayground event. I think it's going to be a great way to get into the holiday spirit.

Overall, I think this update is going to be a huge success. It's clear that the developers have put a lot of thought and effort into it, and I can't wait to see how it all comes together. I'm confident that this update will keep me and my friends entertained for hours on end.
