Sean “Diddy” Combs' Controversial Video Sparks Discussion on Women in His Circle
Following a tribute to the women in his life, a video of Diddy assaulting his ex-girlfriend Cassie Ventura has brought attention to the relationships with the mothers of his children and his mother, Janice Combs.
The surveillance video showing Sean “Diddy” Combs physically attacking his former girlfriend, Cassie Ventura, has surfaced shortly after he posted tributes on social media to the important women in his life. This includes the mothers of his seven children and his own mother, Janice Combs.
The release of this exclusive footage by CNN has sparked discussions not only about his history with Ventura, whom he was in a relationship with from 2007 to 2018, but also about his past relationships with other women.
Ventura took legal action last year, claiming that Combs had raped her and subjected her to years of physical and other forms of abuse during their relationship of over a decade. Combs denied Ventura's accusations, and the lawsuit was settled the day after it was filed. However, it raised concerns about his behavior in other relationships.
Now, let's take a look at some of the women that Combs has been in partnerships with.

Combs is partially credited by the fashion stylist for her career.
In 2017, Hylton-Brim shared with Billboard magazine that she started styling music artists at the age of 17 while in high school, attributing her success to being in the "right place at the right time."
When we first met, my boyfriend was Sean Combs, also known as P. Diddy. He had just been promoted to A&R after starting as an intern. During that time, he was collaborating with R&B group Jodeci on their album, and I was there to assist him in shaping their image and presenting it to Andre Harrell, the head of Uptown Records.
Throughout the 1990s, I was recognized as the most influential stylist in the world of hip-hop. I had the opportunity to work with iconic artists such as Lil Kim and Mary J. Blige who were signed to Combs' Bad Boy Records label.
Hylton gave birth to Combs’ first child, Justin, in December 1993. The two split soon after but appear to have amicably co-parented over the years.

Porter, a model who also was one of the founders of a lifestyle company in Atlanta, was Combs’ off-and-on girlfriend for more than a decade.
He supported her in raising her son Quincy Brown, whose biological father is R&B singer Al B. Sure. In April 1998, Porter and Combs welcomed their first biological child together, a son named Christian. Their twin daughters, D’Lila and Jessie, were born in December 2006.
The couple ended their relationship for good the next year when Porter discovered that Combs was expecting a child with his friend, businesswoman Sarah Chapman, at the same time she was pregnant with their twins.
Porter spoke with Essence magazine after the breakup and shared her reasons for ending the relationship.
"I decided to leave because I feel it's time for me to pursue something new in my life," she explained. "I dedicated ten years, raised children, and supported him throughout. However, now I need to focus on myself and what I want for my future."
The pair stayed close until Porter passed away in November 2018 at the age of 47. The Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office determined that she died from pneumonia.

Lopez was already a famous celebrity when she started dating Combs in 1999. Their relationship only lasted two years, but during that time, they were constantly in the spotlight of the media.
During a disagreement at Club New York in Manhattan which escalated into gunfire, Lopez stood by Combs, along with Combs' bodyguard Anthony “Wolf” Jones and the rapper Shyne Barrow, who was a protege of Combs.
Three people were injured in the incident. Initially, the men and Lopez were arrested, but charges against her were later dropped. Combs and Jones were eventually acquitted.
In 2001, Lopez and Combs ended their relationship. Two years later, Lopez revealed to Vibe magazine that infidelity was a factor in their breakup.
"It was the first time I was with someone who wasn’t faithful,” she said. “I was in this relationship with Puff (the nickname Combs went by at the time) where I was totally crying, crazy and going nuts, it really took my whole life in a tailspin.”
The former couple remained friends, however.
Sarah Chapman

Chapman, a businesswoman from Atlanta and a close friend of Combs, became a mother to their daughter, Chance, in July 2006. Despite Chapman living a relatively private life, their daughter has been more visible in the public eye.
At the 2022 Academy Awards, Chance Combs accompanied her father as his date and expressed her dream of becoming an actress.

One of Combs’ most recent loves is a fellow hip-hop artist.
Yung Miami, also known as Brownlee, is a rapper and part of the duo City Girls. In 2021, she was romantically linked to Combs.
According to Combs, they are dating and enjoy going on dates together. They consider each other friends and have a good time exploring exotic locations and creating great memories.
Combs co-founded Revolt and he and Brownlee were often spotted together on social media and in paparazzi photos. Despite being urged by her followers to address Ventura's lawsuit, Brownlee has not yet made any comments.
Tran, a cybersecurity specialist, is the mother of Combs’ youngest child, a daughter named Love Sean Combs.
Since their daughter’s birth, Tran has shared lots of pictures and videos of the little one on her Instagram account. Love Sean Combs is the daughter of Combs, who had previously changed his name to “Love.”
Combs this week shared a photo on social media of him cradling his youngest, writing in the caption “My Love” with a heart emoji.
