Scott Disick's Recent Accidents Pose Dual Back Problems, Possible Surgery Ahead

Scott Disick reveals his struggles with back injuries following car and dirt bike accidents, contemplating the possibility of surgery

Scott Disick's car accident had a major impact on his health, but it wasn't his only frightening crash. In a recent episode of The Kardashians, which premiered on October 26th, Scott, aged 40, shared details about his back problems with Kendall Jenner.

He inquired, "Were you aware that I might need back surgery due to the car accident I experienced?" He continued, "My back is in bad shape. I was with my son Mason, riding our little dirt bikes. He wanted me to teach him how to do a wheelie, so I ended up falling backwards directly onto my tailbone. Now I have two back issues."

Scott's recent injury occurred subsequent to his involvement in a car accident in August 2022. The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department Bureau confirmed to us at that time that Scott, the cofounder of Talentless, was driving when the incident took place in Calabasas.

“So I was on my way to pick up Mason because we had plans to go see a movie. I was driving alone,” Scott — who has children Mason, 13, Penelope, 11, and Reign, 8, with former partner Kourtney Kardashian — recounted in an episode aired in June. “I took a right turn and the curbs in that neighborhood aren't flat, they're more like little raised edges. The wheel hit one of those raised edges and caused the car to slightly veer, and before I knew it, it collided with a pillar."

Scott Disick, photographed by Jon Kopaloff/FilmMagic/Getty Images for ABA, recounted the incident, saying, "The impact caused the car to somersault forward before landing. I was inside, securely fastened, and found myself hanging there. Despite my attempts to exit through the sunroof, I was unable to free myself."

Scott's participation on the popular Hulu reality series was noticeably reduced following his accident. However, he recently made a comeback in one of the episodes this month. During the episode, Khloé Kardashian expressed her thoughts on his health problems. Scott shared with Khloé that his back pain had intensified over time since the car accident, resulting in weight gain.

Khloé persuaded Scott to schedule a session with a physical therapist, expressing her concern about his declining health. She observed that his mobility issues predominantly stemmed from his back, which was undoubtedly affecting his overall well-being. Khloé believed that Scott needed to acknowledge that these problems were solvable and not let them bring him down.

In the latest episode on Thursday, Scott opted for an alternative medical option and visited the hospital for an epidural. Kris Jenner accompanied him but departed before the procedure was completed.

"Your mother had me on her mind as she accompanied me during a 15-minute procedure. However, upon awakening, she was no longer present. It was quite pleasant," he amusingly commented to Kendall, 27, prior to their joint sound bath session.

New episodes of The Kardashians are available on Hulu every Thursday.
