Sandra Bullock’s onetime partner Bryan Randall died after a three-year private battle with ALS. He was 57.
On August 5, Bryan Randall peacefully passed away after bravely battling ALS for three years, as stated by his family in a statement to People on August 7. Bryan had chosen to keep his journey with ALS private, and we respected his wishes by doing all we could to support him.
The statement expresses profound gratitude towards the dedicated doctors who guided us through this illness, as well as the remarkable nurses who not only cared for Bryan but also shared our living space, often putting their own families on hold. During this time, we kindly request privacy to mourn and accept the heartbreaking reality of bidding farewell to Bryan.
The note was signed, "His Loving Family."
News of Randall's passing comes shortly after confirming that he and Bullock had been going through a period of distance in their relationship.
Bullock and Randall started dating in August 2015, as revealed by Us when she hired him to take photos at her son Louis' birthday celebration. (Bullock adopted Louis in 2010 and Laila in 2015.)
Instead of flowers, Randall's family kindly asks for donations to be made to the ALS Association and the Massachusetts General Hospital.
