Sabrina Carpenter Announces New Album ‘Short N’ Sweet’

Sabrina Carpenter has exciting news for her fans - a new album is on the way!
The 25-year-old singer shared on Instagram on Monday, June 3, "Short n’ Sweet. MY NEW ALBUM IS COMING OUT AUGUST 23rd!!!! This project is quite special to me and I hope it’ll be something special to you too. You can preorder it now!"
Carpenter hinted at a surprise coming on Thursday night, telling her followers to stay tuned. She also shared a photo of herself with a lipstick kiss on her left shoulder and another photo showcasing her "short n' sweet" tattoo on her right shoulder.
Carpenter teased the drop in a video posted on Instagram on Sunday, June 2. She walked towards the camera and playfully pressed her lips to the screen.
Following the release of her latest single, "Espresso," and its music video in April, Carpenter has now announced her upcoming album.

“Now he’s thinkin’ ’bout me every night / Oh, is it that sweet? I guess so,” Carpenter sings on the viral track. “Say you can’t sleep, baby, I know / That’s that me, espresso.”
Before Carpenter took the stage at Coachella, she had a chat with Zane Lowe from Apple Music 1 about how the song 'Espresso' came to be.
She mentioned that she actually wrote 'Espresso' while she was in France, and believes that the experience of being in a different country influenced the vibe of the song. The excitement and energy of traveling the world definitely played a part in shaping the feel of the track.
Writing the song was a quick process for Carpenter. She mentioned that it was fun to create because of the lively and energetic vibe it carries. Carpenter also expressed her excitement about the song having a lot of personality, making it enjoyable to perform live in front of an audience.
