Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively’s children, including their fourth child who arrived in February, have recognized the significance of their father's football club. James, 8, Inez, 7, Betty, 3, and their unnamed sibling all understand the importance of this connection.
During a recent episode of Welcome to Wrexham, released on November 7th, Reynolds, 47, revealed that his relationship with his father centered around their shared passion for sports. He also mentioned that his children have developed a strong fascination with Wrexham. This was demonstrated when their eldest daughter, James, expressed her love for Wrexham in a previous episode of the show, which premiered last month. Reynolds had taken his 8-year-old daughter to Wales for a thrilling football match, marking her rare appearance at the game in January.
James' face was consistently obscured when shown on camera, whereas Reynolds was shown happily embracing his daughter after each goal scored by Wrexham. The latest episode of the FX docuseries primarily explored the familial dynamics within Wrexham AFC, with a focus on Cochairman Reynolds' mother, Tammy Reynolds. She shared heartfelt memories of her late husband, James Chester Reynolds, who tragically passed away in 2015 after battling Parkinson's disease.

Rob McElhenney's family members were also prominently showcased, alongside Wrexhman. While his father had made a previous cameo in the season, this time it was the turn of the actor's mother, Helena McElhenney, and her spouse, Mary Taylor, to make an appearance.
Wrexham player Ollie Palmer and his father, Andy Palmer, were prominently featured in the episode. The CEO of Wrexham, Fleur Robinson, and her father, Ben Robinson, also made an appearance.
During the episode, 46-year-old McElhenney shared his perspective on sports as a safe haven. He emphasized that regardless of any strained or broken relationships, sports provide a common ground for individuals to come together, reset, and start anew. McElhenney also emphasized the generational aspect of the experience, reflecting on the valuable lessons and traditions passed down to him that he hopes to pass on to his own children through his involvement with Wrexham.
McElhenney is a proud father of two sons, who he shares with his wife, Kaitlin Olson. Olson, who is currently 48 years old, made a special appearance in the second episode of Welcome to Wrexham, which recently premiered on Tuesday. Alongside her husband, Olson was accompanied by her It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia co-stars Charlie Day and Glenn Howerton, as they witnessed Wrexham's impressive victory over Yeovil Town with a final score of 3 to 0. This marks a significant milestone for the team's aspiration to be promoted to the English Football League.
Spoiler alert, Wrexham AFC was promoted to the EFL for the first time in 15 years this past April.
