Ryan Reynolds responded to a rumor about Taylor Swift's new album, The Tortured Poets Department, in his usual humorous way.

During an episode of Today on Monday, May 13, host Savannah Guthrie asked the 47-year-old Deadpool star if his and wife Blake Lively's youngest child's name is mentioned in Swift's new record.

Reynolds, known for his humor, jokingly mentioned that they always wait for Taylor to reveal the name of their child. He playfully urged Taylor to hurry up, considering she is a talented writer. He also praised Taylor, stating that laziness is not a trait associated with her.

Swift, aged 34, has been close friends with the couple for many years. She has even included the names of their three daughters - James, 9, Inez, 7, and Betty, 4 - in the lyrics of her song "Betty" from Folklore. Additionally, James' voice can be heard in the introduction of Swift's track "Gorgeous" from Reputation.

After announcing her pregnancy with her fourth child with Reynold in September 2022, Lively, 36, confirmed the arrival of their newest family member by sharing a photo on Instagram in February 2023. In the caption, she mentioned their busy Puppy Bowl Sunday 2023 and shared pictures of their Super Bowl celebrations. (The couple has not disclosed the name and gender of their child yet.)

Later that year, Lively and Reynolds showed their support for Swift's boyfriend, Travis Kelce, by attending an October 2023 Kansas City Chiefs game against the New York Jets. They were part of a star-studded group that included Sabrina Carpenter, Sophie Turner, Hugh Jackman, Antoni Porowski, and Shawn Levy, sitting in Swift's box.

Lively also accompanied Swift to Super Bowl LVIII in February, as they enjoyed another football outing together. In an Instagram post, Lively shared that it was the first time she had left all four of her kids to attend the game.

Reynolds shared on the Today show that he looked after the kids while Lively went out with Swift in Las Vegas. He joked about telling the kids that their mom left when they were young, but assured that they had a fun time at the park. Despite the chaos of having four kids, he humorously mentioned, "No one died, which was nice. It's like a zoo, you just have to surrender, right?"

He continued to poke fun at the challenges of being a father of four, quipping, "When we had our fourth, I was thrilled because I always wanted someone to give me strep throat, and now we're covered. There's never a clean slate of health in our house."
