Rodeo star Spencer Wright’s wife, Kallie Wright, gave an emotional update on their 3-year-old son, Levi, who recently suffered a serious brain injury.
In a heartfelt Facebook post on Sunday, June 2, Kallie revealed that after many sleepless nights, research, and conversations with top neurologists, they are facing their worst fear. Levi's condition has made it clear that they need to make difficult decisions.
Despite their hopes that Levi was defying the odds and fighting to stay with them, Kallie believes that he was actually giving them time to come to terms with the possibility of letting him go. She describes Levi as thoughtful and considerate, believing that he made this choice out of love for his family.
Kallie expressed how Levi had touched the lives of many across the nation as he fought for his life after driving his toy tractor into a Utah river. She shared her plans to spend precious time with him before he peacefully passes away, finding solace in the belief that he will be restored to his healthy, joyful self in heaven.
In a heartfelt conclusion, Kallie mentioned how Levi's family will deeply miss him every moment on earth but firmly believes that letting him go is the best decision for his well-being. She expressed her love for him and eagerly anticipates the day when they can be together again, working the ground side by side.
The Beaver County Sheriff’s Office reported on May 21 that Levi had driven a toy tractor into a river and was temporarily out of sight. Fortunately, he was quickly found and given life-saving care before being taken to a nearby hospital.
Mindy Sue Clark, a spokesperson for Spencer and Kallie, shared on Facebook that Levi's heart was beating on its own and he was trying to breathe. However, his brain had been without oxygen for too long, and there was no hope of recovery.

The family was unsure if Levi would recover at first, and a social media update later revealed that there hadn't been much improvement in Levi's health as he received medical treatment.
In a post on May 22, it was mentioned that Levi had a fever, so the medical team was keeping him cold, which was difficult for his loved ones to witness. The update also mentioned that Levi was undergoing an EEG to monitor his brain activity, but there wasn't much information available yet on the results.
Kallie shared updates on Levi's hospital progress on Facebook before the family's latest news. She expressed gratitude for the miracles that have surrounded them during this difficult time. Many people have gained perspective, connected with God, and come together as a community. She thanked Levi for these blessings.
She also mentioned that she couldn't handle everything without the love and support of Spencer. Kallie emphasized how strong they are as a team and how having each other by their sides is all they really need.
