Rihanna may never release R9, but she continues to showcase her singing talents.
In a recent Interview magazine feature, editor-in-chief Mel Ottenberg asked Rihanna about the songs she sings to her sons, RZA and Riot, whom she shares with ASAP Rocky.
The pop star excitedly pointed out her son's favorite songs, including 'Penguins Salute' and 'Twinkle Twinkle Little Star.' She mentioned how emotional RZA gets about the latter.
Rocky and Rihanna's 23-month-old son is really into 'Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes,' she shared. From the very beginning, 'The Wheels on the Bus' has been a favorite. She expressed that it's a classic that will never go out of style. Additionally, the new 'Incy-Wincy Spider' is a hit because he reacts playfully when she sings it, thinking he will be tickled. He even has a book about it, connecting the song to the story.
Rihanna was not asked about what Riot, 8 months, is into by Ottenberg. However, the stylist did inquire whether she still feels inspired to create music again. Despite this, the Savage x Fenty mogul appears to be more focused on other projects than releasing her ninth studio album. Her latest full-length album, "Anti," was released in 2016.
Rihanna mentioned that she currently has a lot of visual ideas swirling in her mind. She expressed that it feels strange because her creative process is working in reverse. Normally, she starts with the music, which then leads her to visual concepts. However, this time around, she has all these visual ideas without the accompanying songs yet. Rihanna pondered that perhaps the key this time is that the visual concepts are guiding her towards the songs she needs to create.

Rihanna mentioned that she is exploring various creative ideas, including random and quirky ones that may not necessarily relate to her. Ottenberg described this as a possible creative "rebirth" for her.
"I can't tell you," she said. "The opps is watching."
In March, Rihanna performed her first full concert in eight years at the pre-wedding party for the son of billionaire business tycoon Mukesh Ambani. According to the Associated Press, Ambani, known as "India's Richest Man," hosted a 1,200-person celebration in Jamnagar, India, to celebrate the marriage of his youngest son, Anat, to businesswoman Radhika Merchant.
Rihanna was paid $6 million for her performance, where she played popular songs like "Work" and "Bitch Better Have My Money."
Before this, Rihanna made a memorable musical appearance in February 2023 at the Super Bowl LVII halftime show. She surprised everyone by revealing her baby bump, announcing her pregnancy with Rocky's second child. Their son, Riot, was born in August 2023.
