Two weeks after announcing her pregnancy, Monica Garcia from The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City shared the sad news that she had a miscarriage.

In a heartfelt Instagram post on Sunday, April 28, the 39-year-old reality star opened up about her decision to be completely honest and raw with her followers. She expressed her commitment to showing all aspects of her life, even the difficult ones. Today, she bravely shared the heartbreaking news of her miscarriage.

She continued, "There is no heartbeat." She expressed that she doesn't have many words and is still processing the situation herself. The sudden change in circumstances has left her in shock.

Garcia mentioned that she is sending a lot of love to those experiencing miscarriages, fertility issues, pregnancy problems, angel babies, and everything in-between.

"I am incredibly thankful for my wonderful doctors and the amazing support system I have," she expressed. "I feel so lucky to have all of you by my side and I am grateful for the love and kindness you have shown me during this pregnancy. I truly appreciate each and every one of you."

Garcia shared her pregnancy news on “The Viall Files” podcast this month. She mentioned it when discussing her future plans after appearing on RHOSLC for one season.

Although hesitant at first, Garcia eventually revealed that she was seven weeks pregnant. She stated, “I just found out. I haven't told anyone except my best friend.”

Garcia shared that she visited urgent care for a different reason and was surprised when the doctor informed her that she was pregnant. When asked about the father of her child, Garcia initially kept it a secret before disclosing that his name is Braxton.

"I haven't even - we've been together for a year and no one knows who he is," she mentioned.

Garcia mentioned that she and her partner were not planning to have a baby. She expressed, “I should not be [pregnant]. I literally, I was on the urgent care floor bawling my eyes out. ‘Cause I’m like, ‘I’m 39, there’s no way.’ I’m on birth control. Like, by all means, I should not be pregnant. … It’s so scary, but it’s so crazy.”

As a mother, Garcia has four children: Bri, 18, Jaidyn, 13, West, 7, and Kendall, 6. She shares them with her former husband Mike Fowler. (The couple finalized their divorce last year after breaking up in 2023 but getting back together briefly before parting ways for good.)
