RHOSLC's Lisa Barlow Affirms Her Son Jack's Arrival in Colombia for the Mission Trip

Lisa Barlow announced that her son Jack has arrived in Colombia for his mission trip, despite rumors of him being sighted in California instead. On Tuesday, December 5, the Real Housewives of Salt Lake City star, 48, shared a tweet confirming, "Jack Barlow is in Colombia ️️," along with a selfie of Jack, 19, taken on a street in the South American country.
The Bravo star responded to multiple fan comments on the post, including one noting Jack no longer has frosted tips. "Amen to that," Lisa joked. She also confirmed Jack is having a great time, saying, "So happy loves Colombia," in response to a social media user's hope that Jack is "enjoying" his trip.
In another tweet, Lisa hit back at a commenter who seemed to doubt the authenticity of the photo of Jack. "This need to prove he's there is a weird hill to die on but OK," the X user wrote. In response, Lisa wrote, "I have no idea what you mean."
Last month, Lisa dispelled rumors that Jack had switched his mission trip assignment from Colombia to California following a Reddit user's claim of spotting him at a TJ Maxx in Tustin wearing a missionary name badge. While some fans speculated that Lisa intervened to change Jack's assignment, she clarified that the delay was simply due to bureaucratic reasons.

RHOSLC viewers witnessed Jack shocking his mother this season when he shared his decision to postpone college in order to embark on a church mission. As a Mormon missionary, he will spend up to two years in a location chosen by church leaders, engaging in volunteer work and spreading the faith. Despite Lisa and her husband, John Barlow, being Mormon, they were blindsided by Jack's interest in going on a mission. “When he told us, I was crying because I haven’t been involved in the process,” Lisa tearfully recounted to her husband on a September episode of the Bravo series. “I think I’m still dealing with the emotion that I had no idea, and he’s been prepping for a year, and then it makes me think that maybe he does need more time with me, or maybe he just wants less.” She added that they also have a son, Henry, who is 11 years old.
During a “mission reveal party” seen in an October episode of RHOSLC, Lisa and her family received the news that Jack would be heading to Bogotá. At the gathering, Lisa expressed her surprise, saying, "I’d been expecting, like, Europe or something, or New York." In a confessional, Lisa confessed to feeling nervous about Jack’s assignment.

My friend's son recently visited and was held up at gunpoint almost weekly. He started carrying extra cash in his pocket and simply handed it over when confronted.
