RHOM Star Guerdy Abraira Criticizes Larsa Pippen for Disclosing Her Breast Cancer Diagnosis to Costars
The Real Housewives of Miami's Guerdy Abraira criticizes Larsa Pippen for publicly sharing her breast cancer battle with their fellow cast members, sparking controversy among the reality TV stars
Guerdy Abraira is upset with Larsa Pippen for disclosing her breast cancer diagnosis to their Real Housewives of Miami castmates.
“I don’t even know these people. The fact that she spoke about it so openly in front of strangers is really upsetting to me,” said 45-year-old Guerdy to Page Six on Tuesday, November 28. “It’s actually disturbing.”
She was particularly upset that 49-year-old Larsa shared her health news with two women who are not her friends while preparing for a party with other people present. “To talk about my personal health news like that? There were people bartending, waiters [around],” Guerdy said, expressing her shock at Larsa's "nonchalant" attitude.
Guerdy confided in Larsa about her breast cancer diagnosis during the November 15 episode of RHOM, asking her to keep it a secret until she was ready to share it with their costars. However, despite promising not to tell anyone, Larsa broke her promise just six hours later by sharing the news with two of her friends, and then eventually with the other RHOM costars.
During the November 29 episode of RHOM, Guerdy and Larsa had a tense reunion. Guerdy was visibly upset with Larsa, while Larsa seemed unaware of her actions. Additionally, Nicole mentioned that Larsa had called her to inquire about Guerdy's cancer diagnosis, hinting at a potential conflict in the future.
Guerdy bravely shared her cancer diagnosis in May, revealing that she had received the news two months prior. She took to Instagram to express her determination to tackle the illness head-on, urging others to prioritize their health and get regular check-ups.
Guerdy celebrated the end of her chemotherapy treatment in September. In front of a crowd at BravoCon two months later, she joyfully announced that she is now officially cancer-free. "I'm incredibly excited and feel so blessed. Every morning, I wake up and count my blessings, making each day count," she shared. "Remember that. Make it count!"

In October, Guerdy revealed to Us that she experienced a significant sense of "liberation" upon completing her chemotherapy. "I just felt so liberated," she expressed. "It felt empowering to embrace myself once more and a new iteration of myself. So, now, it's like I won't tolerate any nonsense from anyone. That should be my new tagline: 'I won't tolerate any nonsense from anybody.'"
