Larsa Pippen and her boyfriend Marcus Jordan are undeterred by Michael Jordan's criticisms of their relationship. Despite the controversy, they remain happy and committed to each other. According to an exclusive source, the couple plans to discuss the matter on their podcast, 'Separation Anxiety,' which will air this week.
On Sunday, July 2, the 60-year-old basketball icon was asked about Marcus' relationship with Pippen. Pippen, who was once married to Michael's former teammate Scottie Pippen. When a Backgrid photographer asked if Michael approved of their romance, he responded with a simple "No."
Breaking the news in September 2022, Us revealed that Larsa, 48, and Marcus, 32, had begun dating but were keeping their relationship secret due to the ongoing tension between Scottie, 57, and Michael. Scottie had criticized Michael's documentary, "The Last Dance," for overlooking the achievements of his teammates during the Bulls' rise to success in the 80s and 90s.
Larsa and Marcus, whom Michael shares with his ex-wife Juanita Vanoy, made their relationship public earlier this year. In January, the Real Housewives of Miami star posted an Instagram photo of the couple at Marcus' Trophy Room boutique. The photo showed them standing in front of a floral arrangement that resembled Michael's basketball jersey, and the caption read, "Checks over stripes."
Larsa and Scottie's four children, Scotty Jr., 22, Preston, 21, Justin, 18, and Sophia, 14, quickly embraced their mom's new partner, Marcus. Larsa, who recently finalized her divorce from Scottie in 2021, revealed in an exclusive conversation with We last month that her children have formed a strong bond with Marcus. They share common interests, allowing for easy and engaging conversations. For instance, when discussing basketball with her older son Scotty, Marcus actively participates, and when fashion is the topic with her son Preston, Marcus's expertise as a boutique owner adds to the conversation. The compatibility Marcus has brought to their family dynamic has been seamless.
Larsa and Marcus informed Us that his well-known family was becoming more accepting of their relationship, as well as his appearances on RHOM. Marcus also shared that he had informed his family about filming some scenes with Larsa for the current season. Despite being a private family, they trust his ability to handle the public sphere, although it has been a learning experience for him.
The couple’s iHeartRadio podcast, titled “Separation Anxiety,” drops new episodes on Tuesdays.
