Emily Ratajkowski is determined to revive the trend of neck scarves. The 32-year-old model effortlessly embraced Parisian fashion during her presence at the Kérastase Paris Power Talks event held at the Palais De Tokyo in Paris on Tuesday, October 24. Exuding the essence of a French girl, Ratajkowski donned an elegant black strapless mini dress, adorned with a prominent bow at the hemline. To perfect her ensemble, she flawlessly complemented it with a striking red sheer neck scarf and sleek black Miu Miu patent buckle slingback shoes.
For a glamorous look, she chose black winged eyeliner, a matte brown eyeshadow, and light brown glossy lips. The bronzy makeup perfectly enhanced her brown hair, which cascaded down in loose waves.
Ratajkowski has been collaborating with Kérastase for more than five years. She became the brand's ambassador in 2018. In a statement she shared back then, Ratajkowski expressed her enthusiasm for partnering with the brand and the significance of hair to her.
“I perceive my hair as a manifestation of my innate resilience,” she expressed. “It transcends mere adornment and serves as a means to convey my individuality. I believe this sentiment holds true for women universally. There is an undeniable sense of empowering femininity associated with hair.”
Emily Ratajkowski certainly captured everyone's attention with her impeccably glossy and healthy hair at the event. However, let's not overlook her outfit, particularly her neck scarf. When executed perfectly, a neck scarf has the power to transform an ordinary ensemble into a timeless and unforgettable fashion statement. Without a doubt, Ratajkowski has effortlessly achieved this with her latest look.
Skinny scarves, much like neck scarves, have experienced a resurgence in popularity in 2023. Originally introduced in the early 2000s, these sleek scarves serve multiple purposes, with the exception of providing warmth. Renowned personalities such as Kaia Gerber and Bella Hadid have embraced this trend, while notable fashion labels like Miu Miu, Oresund Iris, and Saks Potts have reintroduced these impractical accessories to the market.
Ratajkowski has personally explored the skinny scarf trend. In September, the actress from Gone Girl attended the afterparty for Vogue World in London at The George Mayfair. She donned an ensemble that was reminiscent of the early 2000s, combining a black skinny scarf with a transparent black torn dress, black heels, and a black shoulder bag. Whether Ratajkowski's attempt to revive the popularity of neck scarves will be fruitful remains uncertain, only time will reveal.
