In this fight, players will primarily face off against the Thaen Guardian, a massive golem with four arms that can be detached. Although the golem moves quite slowly, dodging the attacks from its floating sword arms can be somewhat challenging. It is possible to shoot down the golem's arms, and if players manage to disable all of them, the golem will temporarily become immobilized as it attempts to repair itself. The Enigma weapon is particularly effective for shooting down the arms, as it requires minimal aiming and is capable of targeting multiple arms simultaneously.
On the other hand, the Corruptor does not play a significant role in the fight. Its main attack involves unleashing a colossal laser beam that covers an entire lane in the arena, resulting in instant death for any player caught in its path. However, players can avoid this attack by quickly jumping onto one of the adjacent lanes.
To defeat the golem, players must shoot the red stone on its head to disable it. As the golem's health dwindles, the Corruptor will hover above, attempting to revive the golem. This is when the Corruptor exposes its vulnerable underbelly, which serves as a massive weak spot. Take advantage of this opportunity to inflict maximum damage.
The strategy for the battle is straightforward: disable the golem by shooting the red stone, transition between platforms, aim for the Corruptor's weak spot, and repeat until the boss is defeated.

The Corruptor, like other main story bosses, offers an alternative method of defeating it that rewards players with the Stonebreaker greatsword. In order to obtain this weapon, players must defeat the Corruptor without disabling the golem by shooting its head.
This alternative method is relatively straightforward but can be time-consuming. It also poses a higher risk of failure, as the Guardian deals significant damage on all difficulty levels. The optimal strategy in this situation is to utilize the Enigma to shoot down approaching golem arms while using any primary weapon to inflict damage on the Corruptor whenever it is safe to do so.
Players should be cautious of the golem's leap attack to avoid being hit. It is advisable to fire a few shots at the Corruptor first and then quickly shift the camera back to the golem to monitor its movements. Additionally, players should stay close to the stone stairs located on the sides of each platform.
