Joe Lo Truglio

"Many wonderful stories will be told about Andre, but for now, my love goes to his wife Ami and his three boys. Andre loved them very much, and he flew back every weekend from the show to be with them," wrote Lo Truglio, who played Charles Boyle, via Instagram. "We all know how powerful an actor he was, but more importantly, Andre knew his most important role and was deeply proud of it. He often spoke about his sons and was grateful for Ami. I'm grateful to them for allowing us to share eight years with him."

Lo Truglio praised Braugher for being "committed and passionate" about the things he loved, adding that his deep and booming voice "laid anchor to the roughest of dialogue."

"Unbeknownst to many, Andre could also sing, often serenading us with his deep, resonant voice during lunch, belting out tunes he had just discovered from the comfort of his dressing room," He went on to say, "It was a bit strange at first, because, well... it was Andre Braugher singing at the top of his lungs from behind closed doors... but soon it all made perfect sense, because the man was just so full of music, and that's why the world took notice. I already miss him so much."

Lo Truglio concluded his post by expressing his gratitude for the opportunity to work with Braugher. "It was truly an honor," he stated. "I feel blessed and thankful. Miss you, Capt Holt. Love, Porkchop."
