Insomniac Games has revealed that the release of new features for Marvel's Spider-Man 2, including New Game Plus and audio descriptions, will be pushed back to 2024.

In a statement, Insomniac stated, "We have been diligently working on these features and need additional testing to guarantee that the quality meets our standards."

Marvel's Spider-Man 2 was released in October for PS5 and sold over 2.5 million copies in its first 24 hours. The New Game Plus and daytime change features were originally supposed to be released before the end of the year, but now we'll have to wait a bit longer. We are now targeting Early 2024 for the next game update, and we'll have a feature-complete list closer to its release. We've heard your feedback and will be adding some highly requested features, including the ability to change the time of day, swap tendril colors, and replay missions--just to name a few!

Insomniac's upcoming project, Wolverine, has been officially announced to be set in the same universe as Spider-Man.

In our review of Marvel's Spider-Man 2 on our website, we highlighted the fantastic portrayal of loneliness in the story, which creates compelling new narratives for the main heroes, Peter and Miles, as well as the antagonists, Kraven and Venom. The game unites all four characters in an enthralling storyline that will keep you hooked from start to finish, with gameplay that will keep you engaged throughout the entire experience.

Editor's P/S

As a hard fan of Marvel's Spider-Man, I was eagerly looking forward to the release of the New Game Plus mode and other features for Marvel's Spider-Man 2. The news of the delay is disappointing, but I understand that Insomniac Games wants to ensure that the quality of the features meets their high standards. I am confident that the wait will be worth it, and I am excited to experience the new content when it is finally released.

I am also thrilled to hear that Insomniac Games is working on a Wolverine game set in the same universe as Spider-Man. Wolverine is one of my favorite Marvel characters, and I can't wait to see how Insomniac Games brings him to life in their signature style. I am confident that the game will be a huge success, and I can't wait to play it when it is released.
