Reese Witherspoon and Jim Toth have reached a divorce settlement, four months after their separation.

According to documents obtained by TMZ on Wednesday, August 2, Witherspoon, 47, and Toth, 53, have both signed a marriage dissolution agreement. Additionally, they have agreed upon a "parenting plan" for their 10-year-old son, Tennessee.

Witherspoon and the talent manager announced their divorce after being married for 11 years in March. In a joint statement shared on Instagram, they expressed that the decision was made with utmost care and consideration. Despite going their separate ways, they reflected on the many cherished years together and emphasized their commitment to moving forward with love, kindness, and mutual respect for the life they built together.

"Our son and our entire family are our top priority as we embark on this new chapter. Dealing with these matters is never easy and deeply personal. We sincerely thank everyone for respecting our family's privacy during this time."

Less than a week later, it was confirmed that Toth had officially filed for divorce from Witherspoon, citing "irreconcilable differences" as the reason for their break-up. According to documents obtained by Us at that time, the couple had signed a prenuptial agreement before their wedding in 2011.

Before their eventual divorce, it appeared that Witherspoon and Toth were getting ready for the end of their relationship. In the December 2021 edition of We, a source disclosed that they had been discreetly dividing their assets for years before publicly announcing their separation.

“They came to the realization that their marriage was not meant to be forever and agreed to formulate a strategy for dividing their shared assets in a manner that would not dismantle their joint accomplishments,” revealed the source at that time.

Witherspoon and Toth exchanged vows in March 2011, having been in a relationship for nearly a year. The news of their separation came just two days prior to their 12th wedding anniversary, originally scheduled for March 26.

Witherspoon, in addition to her 12-year marriage ending, welcomed Tennessee in September 2012 and is the mother of Ava, 23, and Deacon, 19, whom she shares with ex-husband Ryan Phillippe. Following her split from Toth, rumors circulated in April that Witherspoon had moved on with Tom Brady, who recently went through a public divorce with ex-wife Gisele Bündchen. However, a source dismissed these rumors as "totally ridiculous," stating that Witherspoon is currently not dating.
