Record-Breaking Transfer Alert: Arsenal Set to Unveil Sensational Signing Declan Rice in £105m Deal!

Arsenal set to break records with a staggering £105m deal for West Ham and England midfielder Declan Rice; Man City's interest wanes after £90m bid rejection; Rice, instrumental in Irons' Europa Conference League triumph last season

Arsenal have agreed a £105m deal to sign West Ham captain Declan Rice.

The transfer breaks down as an £100m initial fee plus £5m in performance related add-ons.

The payment structure is currently under discussion by the two clubs. However, Rice can now negotiate personal terms and proceed with his medical examination.

Previously, Arsenal's attempts to secure Rice were unsuccessful, as they had two club-record bids turned down by West Ham United. The first bid consisted of £90m, comprising a £75m base fee and £15m in additional payments. The second bid, believed to be an initial offer of £80m, included additional payments as well.

The offer surpasses Arsenal's previous transfer record of £72m, which was paid to Lille in 2019 for Nicolas Pepe.

Throughout his professional career, Rice has remained loyal to West Ham and his final achievement with the club was leading them to victory in the Europa Conference League.

Mikel Arteta, who heavily relied on Thomas Partey, Granit Xhaka, and Martin Odegaard as his midfielders last season, has been eager to bolster his options in that particular area. It seems that he has successfully secured his primary target. Further updates to come.
