Real Madrid is considering alternative options for their goalkeeper position following Thibaut Courtois' ACL injury, and they have reached out to David de Gea's representatives.
Having recently departed from Manchester United, De Gea is presently accessible as a free agent.
Real Madrid is also reportedly monitoring Kepa Arrizabalaga's status. The goalkeeper, currently playing for Chelsea, is Bayern Munich's primary choice for the position, and there are ongoing negotiations for a loan-to-buy deal.
It has been revealed that the Belgian international, Courtois, has sustained an anterior cruciate ligament injury in his left knee during a training session. He will undergo surgery in the near future.
The 31-year-old has made over 200 appearances for the club since joining from Chelsea in August 2018 and has been a near ever-present in the Spanish capital.
