His suggestion was to intentionally get fired the day before the release dates, allowing them to stay home and binge-watch the first three episodes. He also humorously suggested using a "Reacher headbutt" as a threat to regain their job if necessary. Ritchson recommended repeating this process, getting fired again after a week, in order to watch episode 4 and continue using scare tactics to secure their job until the next episode airs. The actor assured fans that Season 2 would be worth the trouble.

Ritchson's words of advice may be doubted by some, but devoted Reacher fans are willing to do whatever it takes for the new season. A fan responded to his post, saying, "No doubt about it, I'm ready to drop everything and binge-watch Reacher 1 and 2!"

Another individual claimed that they did not feel the need to heed the actor's advice on being fired because they had already taken the day off upon watching the trailer.
