Following the incident, Gunplay's spouse notified the authorities and obtained a temporary restraining order, while Gunplay is currently confined to his residence.

Rapper Gunplay, whose real name is Richard Welton Morales Jr., allegedly held his wife at gunpoint when she requested him to lower the volume while playing Call of Duty. The 44-year-old musician from Miami has denied these accusations.

It is no secret that the Call of Duty series has a significant following among popular rappers. Activision recognizes this unique marketing opportunity and has actively partnered with celebrity artists. One recent example of this collaboration is the inclusion of Snoop Dogg in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. Soon, players can expect a Nicki Minaj operator skin and finisher as well.

Gunplay, a famous rapper, is unlikely to ever secure a video game marketing deal due to recent events. He was involved in a triple charge altercation when his wife, Vonshae Taylor-Morales, asked him to quiet down while playing Call of Duty on his Xbox console. Taylor-Morales took to Instagram to recount the incident, sharing that Gunplay's yelling had frightened their 6-month-old daughter on the evening of August 19. In response to her request, Gunplay, who was heavily intoxicated, became aggressive, throwing bottles and cups at her. He then proceeded to grab an AK-47 and pressed it against Taylor-Morales's chest while she was holding their child. TMZ Hip Hop reports, citing Miami PD documents with Taylor-Morales's statement regarding the incident.

When Taylor-Morales screamed for help, Gunplay dropped the weapon and left their apartment, also shouting for assistance. Taylor-Morales took the opportunity to hide the assault rifle in her luggage and escape with their daughter. She promptly reported the incident to the police, leading to Gunplay's arrest on charges of false imprisonment, child abuse, and aggravated battery with a deadly weapon. The local authorities recovered the AK-47 that Gunplay had used to threaten his wife during the Call of Duty interruption. Gunplay was released from the Miami-Dade Jail on bail and is currently under house arrest, according to court records reported by Law and Crime.

Taylor-Morales disclosed that she has already secured a temporary restraining order against her spouse and initiated divorce proceedings. She expressed her determination to prevent any further disrespect towards her and her family, while also expressing gratitude towards her supporters on social media.

This concerning occurrence represents the second notable arrest made by Florida authorities in August for an offense related to a deadly weapon. Only a few days ago, another AEW star was apprehended in Orange County on charges of aggravated assault with a firearm.
