Sam Lammers, a forward from Atalanta, has been signed by Rangers for a fee of approximately £3m. The 26-year-old has agreed to a four-year contract and joins Jack Butland, Dujon Sterling, and Kieran Dowell as the fourth summer signing for the Ibrox club.
"I am thrilled to be donning the number 14 jersey left by Ryan Kent. Although I was an unused substitute during Eintracht Frankfurt's victory over Rangers in the Europa League final last season, I gained valuable experience during my loan spells at Sampdoria and Empoli in Italy. Joining Rangers is a fantastic opportunity for me and I look forward to the upcoming season with great anticipation."
After meeting with the manager in Italy, I was thoroughly impressed with the presentation he gave me about the club and how I could contribute to its success. Even though I was already familiar with Rangers' esteemed reputation and history, hearing about it from a personal perspective only heightened my excitement about joining the team.

Sam Lammers has recently signed with Rangers from Atalanta, pending international clearance. Manager Michael Beale expressed his excitement about the acquisition, stating that he has been aware of Lammers for several years. Beale has been following Lammers' career since his time as a young player at PSV and has seen him excel both in the Eredivisie and with the under-21 national team.
Sam's technical and tactical abilities are exceptional, and he is capable of playing as a number 10 or nine in a range of attacking positions. As one of the first players I spoke to during our planning for the new season, we had lengthy discussions and it became evident that we share the same football philosophy and vision for his personal growth. He aligns well with the rest of our squad and brings with him a wealth of experience having played in top leagues in Holland, Germany, and Italy. We are thrilled to have him on board at Rangers and I am excited to work closely with him.
'We are ahead of schedule'

Rangers have also signed Jack Butland plus Dujon Sterling and Kieran Dowell this summer on pre-contracts
"We have made great strides in our recruitment efforts this summer transfer window," said Beale. "The addition of Jack Butland, Dujon Sterling, Kieran Dowell, and Sam Lammers has been a fantastic boost to our squad. We are currently ahead of schedule in our plans and are pleased with the progress we have made thus far.
"In the upcoming weeks, we will continue to make trades both in and out of the squad as we work towards preparing for the upcoming season. Our focus remains on securing our key targets in the positions we need to strengthen."

Rangers are in talks to sign striker Cyriel Dessers from Cremonese
Beale, the manager of Rangers, is optimistic about securing most of his targets before the commencement of pre-season training in late June. The club is currently in the process of negotiating several deals. According to last week's reports, Rangers are still in discussions with Cremonese regarding their initial offer for the forward, Cyriel Dessers.
We News understands that there is ongoing interest in Nottingham Forest's Jonathan Panzo and Los Angeles FC's Jose Cifuentes. However, there is still considerable work to be done in order to finalize a deal for the midfielder. In addition to potentially signing new players this summer, the club is also reportedly open to offers for Glen Kamara and Scott Wright.
How do Rangers win the league next season?
In order to close the gap with Celtic next season, Beale has openly expressed his intention to bolster his squad with multiple new additions before pre-season training commences. He firmly believes that recruitment will play a vital role in achieving his team's goals.
"Our style is characterized by its clarity and our energy is consistently high, both on and off the ball. When asked about our strategy for surpassing our competitors, I explained that we aim to recruit a core group of players who are committed to staying with Rangers for the next three to five years, allowing us to build upon our success."
"We have already begun bolstering our squad with the additions of Nico Raskin and Todd Cantwell. However, we are still in search of experienced players who can bring quality to our attack. Come pre-season, I will either have a satisfied or disappointed expression depending on the success of my recruiting efforts. Regardless, we will enter next season with fresh ideas that I have long wanted to implement. To achieve this, we need to find a specific type of player. Rest assured, we will return stronger."
