Wrexham, the National League champions owned by Hollywood actors Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney, will make their return to the Football League by hosting MK Dons at home on Saturday August 5, with a kick-off time of 3pm. This will be their first EFL fixture in 15 years and will be against Graham Alexander's team, who recently took charge after the relegation of the club from League One.
Notts County, the winners of the National League play-offs and one of the original members of the Football League, will commence their campaign by playing against Sutton United. On the other hand, Duncan Ferguson's Forest Green Rovers, who finished at the bottom of League One, will welcome Salford to The New Lawn Stadium. Stockport County, who were defeated by Carlisle United in last season's League Two play-off final, will begin their season at home against Gillingham. Additionally, newly-relegated Accrington Stanley will be hosting Newport County.
MK Dons will face their fierce rivals AFC Wimbledon on Saturday November 18, and the return fixture is set for Saturday March 2.
