Tan France, star of Queer Eye, is retracting his previous statements about desiring a large family. "If you look back at any interview from two years ago, I always said I want four kids. And now, we are done at two," the 40-year-old exclusively told We on Tuesday, November 28, while promoting his partnership with the delivery service Shipt. "We are officially 100 percent done at two and I really hope that you don’t see this in three years with an extra kid and say, ‘Hey,’ but that’s not going to be the case."
Tan and Rob France happily welcomed their first son, Ismail, through surrogacy in July 2021. They recently added another member to their family with the arrival of their son, Isaac. "He completes our little family perfectly," Tan wrote in the caption of an Instagram photo in May.
Looking ahead, if the topic of a third child arises, Tan shared with Us that he will always remember the challenges of parenting. "It's not easy, I won't sugarcoat it. I'd love to pretend," he admitted. "But it's important for people to understand the reality of it. I don't think it's talked about enough."
Tan is grateful that despite the challenges of being a father, he doesn't have to worry about his children fighting. He joked that his youngest recently tried to hold his older child's hand for the first time, only to be rejected. Despite this, Tan is indifferent and finds humor in the situation.
Parenting has also deepened his love for his partner, Rob. Tan expressed that he already loved Rob, but watching him interact with their children has made him love Rob even more. Tan admires Rob's patience and sweetness with their kids.

As the holiday season approaches, the family of four is looking forward to "starting new traditions." Tan explained to Us, "Now that my eldest is two and a half, I want him to be able to choose the type of things that we put under the tree. Since they are so young, we want to establish new traditions, such as allowing the kids to pick one of their Christmas presents the night before and sleep in our bedroom, instead of their nursery. These are little things that we hope will continue until they move out of the house."
Partnering with Shipt, Tan aims to help others create memorable holiday celebrations. The Netflix star has collaborated with the same-day delivery service to curate a collection of his essential festive décor items, which will be revealed on Monday, December 4.

"I have a long list of things I need, but most of it is for setting the table," Tan hinted. "I just completed moving into my new home last week — well, two weeks ago — and I hosted a Friendsgiving. I will also be hosting Christmas and New Year's. The items I want for my tablescape are the ones I've added to my list."
