Ten years after her Oscar win, Jennifer Lawrence continues to receive praise for her performance in Silver Linings Playbook. Producer Bruce Cohen shared a memorable moment from the set during the filming of a heated argument scene between Lawrence's character, Tiffany, and Bradley Cooper's character, Pat, on the "Hollywood Gold" podcast episode on Wednesday, November 29th. Cohen, 62, reflected on the realization of Lawrence's remarkable talent by the cast and crew during this scene.

"Jen showed up and we were shooting the scene outside the house where they argue," Cohen recalled. "At the end of the first take, we all had a moment of realization that she's even better than Bradley and better than [Robert De Niro]. What she did right from the start was truly extraordinary and exhilarating."

After the take, Cohen described Cooper's reaction, saying "he had this look on his face like 'holy shit.'" Cohen also noted that De Niro was equally impressed.

Cohen also highlighted one of the film’s standout scenes as additional evidence of Lawrence’s undeniable talent. The producer referred to the scene as Lawrence’s “tour de force” moment, in which Tiffany confronts De Niro’s character, Pat Sr., using sports scores to make her argument.

In the morning, writer and director David O. Russell handed Cohen new pages, acknowledging Jennifer's talent and adjusting the scene accordingly.

Cohen explained that the scene was not originally in the script and was added by David over the first weekend after watching Jennifer Lawrence perform. At the time of her role in the dramedy, Lawrence was 22 years old and later won the film its only Oscar for best actress in 2013. Lawrence had previously been nominated for best actress for her roles in Winter's Bone and later received nominations for her roles in American Hustle and Joy.

Most recently, she surprised fans with her role in the rom-com No Hard Feelings, which hit theaters in June. In the film, Lawrence portrays Maddie, a woman who helps a pair of helicopter parents bring their introverted son out of his shell before he starts college.
