Prince William, aged 41, isn't afraid to get his hands dirty. During a visit to Woodgate Valley Urban Farm on Thursday, April 25, the royal revealed that he takes good care of the family's guinea pig.
Victoria Ward, Deputy Royal Editor at the Daily Telegraph, shared a clip of a joyful Prince William on X. She mentioned that William was delighted while stroking Snowflake the guinea pig at Woodgate Valley Urban Farm, just outside Birmingham. William confessed that his children often forget to clean out their own guinea pig, leaving him to take care of it.
In the clip, William is shown complimenting the farm’s guinea pigs, saying they looked “very well-loved” and “extremely cozy.” He was given Snowflake to take care of and cheerfully greeted the furry creature with a “Hello, hi!”
William is the father of Prince George, 10, Princess Charlotte, 8, and Prince Louis, 6, with Princess Kate Middleton.
Kate shared that she had two guinea pigs named Salt and Pepper when she was younger.
In addition to guinea pigs, Windsor also welcomed a new furry friend in January 2021. The family received a puppy from Kate's brother, James Middleton. This new addition came before the passing of their dog Lupo, as announced in November 2020.
Last weekend, our beloved dog Lupo passed away, William and Kate shared on Instagram. Lupo has been a cherished part of our family for nine years, and we will deeply miss him.
James also honored Lupo on Instagram, expressing how the loss of a dog can be incredibly difficult. To those who have never experienced the bond with a dog, it may be hard to comprehend the depth of this loss. But for those who have loved a dog, they understand that a dog is more than just a pet - they are a family member, a best friend, a loyal companion, a teacher, and a therapist.
He went on to say that there isn't a set rule book on how to grieve for a dog. He mentioned that he had said a prayer, lit a candle, and taken Ella (Mum) for a long walk to remember Lupo. Rest in peace Lupo. Tilly & Mini will be waiting for you. Lupo will always be remembered, and his legacy will live on forever. Good Boy.
