Prince William and Kate Middleton's Christmas Plans: Prioritizing Their Immediate Family

Prince William and Kate Middleton are prioritizing their immediate family this Christmas The royal couple intends to celebrate the festive season alongside their cherished children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis

Prince William and Princess Kate Middleton are planning to keep their holiday plans private this season, a source revealed exclusively to We. "William and Kate will be spending Christmas Day taking their kids for a walk at Sandringham Estate and attending mass at St Mary Magdalene," the insider shared. "Kate and William are eager to have a peaceful break with their children, especially since this year has been filled with tension."

William and Kate, both 41, are parents to Prince George, 10, Princess Charlotte, 8, and Prince Louis, 5. "They truly require a few weeks to spend quality time with their immediate family," the source adds.

After getting married in April 2011, the couple will continue their tradition of giving back by visiting a shelter for the homeless during the holidays. Following the festive season, the family plans to take a vacation in a commonwealth destination for some beach and relaxation time.

The Prince and Princess of Wales are preparing for a family-filled few weeks, but they do not intend to include Prince Harry or Meghan Markle in their plans. According to a source, Kate and William have no plans to send gifts or cards to Harry and Meghan, as there is currently no relationship between them. It is uncertain whether William and Kate will send gifts to Harry and Meghan's children, Prince Archie, 4, and Princess Lilibet, 2.

The tension between William and Kate and Harry and Meghan began to escalate in 2020 when Harry and Meghan announced their decision to step down as senior royals and move to California. In a 2021 interview, Harry admitted that his relationship with his family in the U.K. had not improved. Adding further fuel to the feud, Harry released his memoir "Spare" in January, revealing that William had knocked him to the ground during a 2019 altercation, which Harry claimed was sparked by William's comments about Meghan.

In his November book, End Game, royal reporter Omid Scobie stated that William feels Harry and Meghan caught their family off guard with their public comments about The Firm in recent years. Scobie also alleged that William believes Harry has been influenced by a group of therapists since leaving the U.K., to the point where William no longer feels he knows his own brother.

Last month at the Royal Variety Performance in London, William and Kate chose not to address the allegations in Endgame when questioned. However, their smiles were on display earlier this month as they attended the Together at Christmas carol service at Westminster Abbey with their children.

The family of five was photographed walking hand in hand outside the church before Louis pulled the focus by playfully blowing out sister Charlotte’s candle for all to see.
