The Powerball jackpot has reached an impressive $1.23 billion as no one won the grand prize in the latest lottery drawing on Wednesday night.
The winning numbers for Wednesday were: 11, 62, 65, 38, 41, and the Powerball number 15.
For the upcoming Powerball drawing on Saturday night, the lucky winner will have the option to receive the prize in installments or as a lump sum of approximately $595.1 million.
Following the absence of a winning ticket with all six numbers in Wednesday night's drawing, the jackpot has increased from $1.09 billion to $1.23 billion, making it the fourth largest jackpot in Powerball history. This places it as the eighth largest lottery jackpot in the United States, surpassing the $1.13 billion Mega Millions jackpot won in New Jersey last week.
Despite no tickets winning the grand prize on Wednesday night, nine players matched five of the numbers, snagging $1 million prizes each. Those tickets were sold in California, Georgia, Massachusetts, Maryland, New Jersey, South Carolina and Washington. This has been one of the game’s longest streaks without a jackpot winner, according to Powerball.

Have you ever wondered what happens when you win the lottery?
Well, it's been three months since Powerball's grand prize was last won. On New Year's Day, a lucky ticket in Michigan hit the jackpot with a whopping $842.4 million. Since then, there have been 40 consecutive drawings without a jackpot winner, according to Powerball.
If no one wins the jackpot on Saturday, it would be tied for the most consecutive drawings without a jackpot winner in Powerball history. Only two other times have there been 41 drawings in a row without a jackpot winner, as reported by the lottery.
The largest Powerball jackpot ever won, as well as the biggest US lottery prize, was $2.04 billion. This record-breaking jackpot was won by a ticket purchased in California in November 2022. Following closely behind are the second, third, and fourth largest jackpots: $1.765 billion (one ticket in California, 2023); $1.586 billion (three tickets, 2016); and $1.08 billion (one ticket in California, 2023), as confirmed by the lottery.
Winning the Powerball jackpot means having a ticket that matches all five white balls plus the red Powerball. The odds of winning any prize in a Powerball drawing are 1 in 24.9, while the odds of winning the jackpot are 1 in 292.2 million, as stated by the lottery.
Powerball tickets are priced at $2 per play and can be purchased in 45 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, and the US Virgin Islands. Drawings take place on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays at 10:59 p.m. ET in Tallahassee, Florida.
