Travis Kelce, of the Kansas City Chiefs, has recently received a new nickname from the NFL that is associated with his girlfriend, Taylor Swift. Before the Super Wild Card Weekend matchup against the Miami Dolphins on January 13, the NFL released a video showcasing the teams' seasons and players.
In the YouTube preview released on Wednesday, January 10, the voiceover mentioned the challenge of facing Travis Swift Kelce, the second-highest yardage earner for a tight end in 2023 with 984 yards. The video then showed Swift, 34, playfully sticking out her tongue while watching Kelce, 34, and the Chiefs defeat the New England Patriots in December 2023. It also included footage of Swift and Brittany Mahomes exchanging a celebratory handshake after the Chiefs scored a touchdown. (Brittany, 28, is the wife of Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes.)
During the CBS broadcast of the Chiefs game against the Buffalo Bills in December 2023, Tony Romo made an unintentional error regarding the relationship status of Kelce and Swift. As Romo attempted to give a shout out to the “Karma” singer, who was in attendance cheering on her boyfriend, he mistakenly referred to her as Kelce's wife. He quickly corrected himself, acknowledging that he meant to say girlfriend.

"Wait, not yet," Jim Nantz, another commentator, interjected. "You don't have some insider knowledge, do you?"
The following month, Romo repeated the mistake while discussing Kelce's 900th career reception during the Chiefs' game against the Las Vegas Raiders. The camera then showed Swift ringing a bell in the suite at Arrowhead Stadium.
"His partner is really into it - I mean, girlfriend," Romo clarified. While they're not quite at the wedding bells stage, they've had some "really meaningful discussions about their future together," a source exclusively told us in December 2023.
"When they are unable to be in the same location, they keep in constant contact through texting, calling, and FaceTiming. Taylor's bond with Travis is unparalleled to any previous relationship she has had. Their commitment deepened rapidly, and she was eager to showcase their love right from the start," the source revealed, emphasizing their efforts to prioritize each other despite their demanding schedules.

Swift later disclosed that she and Kelce began spending time together shortly after the NFL player publicly expressed his interest in her. (After attending her Eras Tour concert in July 2023, Kelce revealed on the "New Heights" podcast with his brother Jason Kelce that he had hoped to give Swift his phone number.)
