'I’m at a point in life where I’m trying my very best to realize the past is in the past for a reason. If it was meant to be, it would’ve been then,' Kraus explained.

Despite their separation, Kraus conveyed his well wishes for Lindsay, expressing empathy for the difficulties she may be facing. 'I really do feel terrible it ended in that way. Breakups, divorce, all that heartache. All of it’s hard, it’s complicated. No one’s good at it,' he empathized. 'I hope that it’s not the worst thing that ever happens. I hope people are easy on her.'
