Atlus has confirmed that Goro Akechi and Kasumi Yoshizawa, known as fan favorite members of the Phantom Thieves, will be included in the "Repaint Your Heart" DLC pack for Persona 5 Tactica. Since the game's reveal in June, Atlus has been steadily revealing information about this tactics-based strategy RPG, including details about new characters such as Erina and Toshiro, gameplay mechanics, and various DLC offerings. An exciting leak regarding the third Challenge pack caught the attention of many fans, suggesting that Goro Akechi and Kasumi Yoshizawa would have a presence in the game. Goro Akechi is a returning character from the original Persona 5 game released in 2016, and Kasumi Yoshizawa is a new character introduced in Persona 5 Royal, who plays a significant role in the exclusive Third Semester period. Despite the leak, the latest promotional video from Atlus has officially confirmed that both of these beloved characters will indeed be included in Persona 5 Tactica.

The Persona 5 Tactica video was showcased during Atlus' "Nyahoo!" news event. In the video, Morgana explains various aspects of the game and provides commentary for both new and existing fans. The promo highlights the game's cutscenes and introduces Toshiro and the antagonist with a wedding theme. Towards the end, the video shows Joker in a deserted street, approached by enemies armed with paint guns. Before they could attack, Akechi and Yoshizawa appear in their Phantom Thief outfits, rescuing Joker. Screenshots showcase the Persona 5 Royal Third Semester trio teaming up in battles, with Akechi using Robin Hood and Yoshizawa employing Cendrillon in Tactica's new art style. Another screenshot reveals Joker encountering both characters in a Shibuya-like city adorned with graffiti. It appears that the Repaint Your Heart DLC can be played separately from the main story of Tactica.

Fans have been perplexed by the presence of Akechi in Persona 5 Tactica and the fact that he and Yoshizawa are only available in this DLC. Despite the DLC's snowy setting before the graduation ceremony of the third-year students, Akechi is seen in his Prince outfit and displays his usual personality. Additionally, Yoshizawa's inclusion does not align with the timeline of events.
