The show follows tween demigod Percy Jackson as he comes to terms with his newfound divine powers just in time for the powerful god Zeus to accuse him of stealing his master lightning bolt, which he must restore order to Olympus before it’s too late.
The Percy Jackson franchise has often been compared to the teen-driven fantasy series Harry Potter. During a recent promotional press stop, the star of the new Percy Jackson series weighed in on the ongoing debate of who would win in a fight between Percy and Harry Potter.
Percy Jackson star thinks he could take on Harry Potter
During a live recording of the Happy, Sad, Confused podcast, Walker Scobell, the actor portraying Percy in the new Disney+ series, was posed with the question of who he believes would emerge victorious in a battle between Percy and Harry Potter.
The fanbases of both franchises have been debating this fight for years, with Percy being a half-god and Harry being a full-blood wizard who has escaped death since infancy. However, Scobell believes there is no debate, stating that Percy would easily defeat Harry in a fight.

Editor's P/S
As a loyal fan of the Percy Jackson series, I am thrilled to see the upcoming Disney+ remake and can't wait to witness Percy's journey unfold on screen once again. The news of the lead actor, Walker Scobell, confidently asserting Percy's victory in a battle against Harry Potter has sparked excitement and ignited discussions among fans. While I understand the enthusiasm and passion behind such debates, I believe that comparing these two iconic characters is subjective and diminishes the unique strengths and qualities of each story.
Percy Jackson and Harry Potter belong to different worlds, each with its own distinct magical systems and challenges. Percy, a demigod, possesses extraordinary powers granted by the Greek gods, while Harry, a wizard, excels in magic and spellcasting. Comparing their abilities and determining a winner seems unfair and overlooks the richness and complexity of both characters' journeys. Instead of pitting them against each other, I prefer to appreciate and celebrate the individuality and魅力of both Percy Jackson and Harry Potter, recognizing the impact they have had on readers and fans worldwide.
