Check out the new official poster for season 1 of Percy Jackson and the Olympians on Disney+. Percy Jackson's Camp Half-Blood Explained

This early teaser poster prominently features Camp Half-Blood, a significant location in the Percy Jackson series. Just like Hogwarts in the Harry Potter series, Camp Half-Blood holds great importance. However, unlike Hogwarts, the inhabitants of Camp Half-Blood frequently venture beyond its grounds for exploration throughout the series.

Magically concealed from the mortal world, this camp is situated near Montauk in Long Island. It is overseen by Dionysus (also known as Mr. D.), the Greek God, and Chiron, a centaur who serves as the camp activities director. Jason Mantzoukas, known for his role in the TV show Big Mouth, will portray Mr. D. in the new series, while Glynn Turman, an Emmy-winning actor from In Treatment, will bring Chiron to life.

Percy Jackson trains and recharges at Camp Half-Blood alongside his best friends Grover (Aryan Simhadri) and Annabeth (Leah Sava Jeffries). Although Percy knew Grover before learning about his true identity, Annabeth, the daughter of Athena, is a character he encounters only after joining the camp. Despite their adventures taking them away from Camp Half-Blood during the season, it is crucial for Percy Jackson and the Olympians to accurately depict the location, which is why Disney is emphasizing its importance.
