Peloton instructor Callie Gullickson recently shared the exciting news that she and her husband Chris Howell welcomed their first child after 24 hours of labor.
At the age of 30, Gullickson introduced their baby boy, Cash James Howell, to the world through adorable photos posted on her Instagram account on Sunday, March 31. She joyfully expressed, “Cash James Howell has brought us so much happiness during Holy Week. Our precious 8lb 9oz bundle of joy arrived early Saturday morning, and we couldn’t be happier.”
She shared the news on Instagram on Saturday, March 30, with a photo of her holding her baby boy in a hospital bed. She expressed her joy, saying, "Taking in all the newborn snuggles! I'm doing well and baby is perfection! Can't wait to share all the things."
After giving birth for the first time, she reflected on the experience. She praised the strength of women, sharing, "Let me just say, women are incredible. There were moments where I doubted myself, but I called upon all the women who have gone through this before me. So, I have all of you to thank."

Gullickson mentioned, "Just a quick note. I was in labor for a little over 24 hours but only pushed for 25 minutes, and I credit that to my workout routine! It felt like doing 3 sets of 10 reps - I was ready for it!"
The former dancer shared her pregnancy announcement in October 2023 through videos of herself and Howell, her husband since 2021, walking off into the sunset while holding sonogram photos. Since then, Gullickson has been transparent and candid about her journey towards motherhood.
When I discovered I was pregnant, I felt a mix of excitement and nervousness, as shared on Instagram in October. I was worried about how our lives would change, if I was ready, and if I would be a good mom. This was confusing for me, as I have always wanted to be a mother. Additionally, the thought of going through this journey in front of millions on the Peloton platform terrified me.
Despite her initial fears, Gullickson was comforted by the warm reaction she received. She realized she was kidding herself with those worries. The support, encouragement, and love she received from her followers on Peloton and beyond made her feel incredibly lucky. She expressed gratitude for everyone cheering her on as she embarked on the journey of creating a human life. Thank you all for your amazing support as the mom era begins.
Since becoming a mom, Gullickson has been open and honest about the challenges of postpartum life. From swollen feet to dealing with diapers, she has shared it all. Recently, she even discussed how she is managing the pain from her perineal tear.
On Sunday, Gullickson shared, "Keeping it real: I did experience a second degree tear. Surprisingly, I haven't felt much pain, thanks to the products I've been using and alternating between Motrin and Tylenol."
