Taylor Swift has been welcomed into the "Chiefs Kingdom" and fully accepted by the team due to her connection with tight end Travis Kelce, as stated by Kansas City quarterback Patrick Mahomes.
"At first, there were a few jokes thrown around, but now she's truly part of Chiefs Kingdom. She's one of us," Mahomes expressed to Nate Burleson on "CBS Mornings."
"It's great that she's embraced Brittany (Mahomes' wife) and they've also developed a friendship. For me, it's all about Travis. He's fortunate to be with a wonderful woman." The public confirmation of Swift and Kelce's relationship has been one of the most talked-about pop culture moments of the year, captivating NFL fans and Swifties.
Swift, who was recently named Times Person of the Year, made an appearance at a Chiefs game in September. This came after weeks of speculation about her romantic involvement with Mahomes, during which Mahomes stated that the team initially gave Kelce his space. "At first, everyone kept their distance and let him be, but then he started bringing Taylor around once he realized what a great person she is," he explained.

Swift and Kelces relationship has also allowed the two-time Super Bowl winning quarterback to compare notes with another person at the top of their profession.
"It's been great to engage with her as she excels in her profession," Mahomes commented. "Watching her passion and dedication has given me a new perspective. Now I see it up close through Brittany and Travis' eyes."
Swift has attended multiple Chiefs games since then, supporting the reigning Super Bowl champions during a challenging season where they currently sit in third place in the American Football Conference (AFC) with a 9-5 record.
They next play on Christmas Day when they will host the Las Vegas Raiders at the Arrowhead Stadium.
