The Mandalorian season 4 was rumored to be a movie for many months, and Lucasfilm has finally confirmed they will be moving forward with a Din Djarin and Grogu movie directed by Jon Favreau that will bring the franchise back to theaters for the first time since 2019.
Pascal's notoriously busy schedule, from wrapping up his Gladiator sequel movie and preparing to start on The Last of Us season 2, has made viewers nervous whether this movie would be doable for the actor - but now, he's offered some reassurance with some celebration.
Pascal's Celebration
Expressing his excitement via an Instagram story, Pascal shares Star Wars' post of concept art for The Mandalorian & Grogu made by Ryan Church along with Ludwig G\u00f6ransson's 'Hey Mando!' soundtrack song.
This particular song echoes that of The Mandalorian's main theme, and interestingly enough, it's the first song featured in The Mandalorian season 1, episode 1. In a way, then, Pascal's celebration is almost him introducing this new era of The Mandalorian, which will see Din Djarin and his adorable companion on the big screen for the first time.
Pascal has always been eager to see Din Djarin and Grogu on the big screen, often sharing his enthusiasm for a potential The Mandalorian movie over the years.
Pascal's Deserves The Star Wars Movie Spotlight
Pascal's portrayal of Din Djarin, especially alongside a companion as adorable as Grogu, has already made the character a Star Wars icon. It's time for Din to make his movie debut, as the unlikely duo's immense popularity has certainly outgrown their episodic Disney+ TV show adventures.
Pascal has also proven himself to be one of Hollywood's greatest current actors, and he deserves the spotlight in a Star Wars movie because of how incredible his portrayal of Din Djarin has been thus far.
This stresses the importance of allowing Pascal to get more involved with The Mandalorian & Grogu than he has for much of The Mandalorian's TV show run. While Pascal was in the suit for the majority of season 2, he didn't have the same luxury in seasons 1 and 3, mostly due to scheduling conflicts. Putting Din Djarin on the big screen emphasizes just how important each contribution Pascal can make to this project truly is, and hopefully, The Mandalorian viewers will even get to see Pascal's face as Din in movie theaters for the very first time in The Mandalorian & Grogu.
