Paris Hilton has been open about the fact that she is learning about motherhood as she goes along. She has admitted that there have been some mistakes along the way.
Recently, Hilton received criticism for a video she posted on TikTok. The video showed her 16-month-old son, Phoenix, and 6-month-old daughter, London, in their car seats. Fans pointed out that the seats were facing forward, even though the brand's website specifies that they should be rearward facing. Additionally, some fans raised concerns about Hilton using both a latch and belt at the same time, which could pose a safety risk.
One fan expressed concern in a comment on the now-deleted video, urging the need to hire a professional to install car seats for safety reasons. They emphasized that the current setup was deemed as extremely unsafe and alarming.
In accordance with California law, children under the age of 2 are required to be seated facing the rear in their car seats until they weigh 40 pounds or measure 40 inches tall. This regulation is put in place to ensure the safety and well-being of young passengers during car rides.
Hilton shared a new video on Tuesday, featuring rear-facing car seats. She expressed gratitude for the mom advice and mentioned being new to parenting. The #CutesieCrew is all set to go in the #SlivingMom van.
It's crucial for young children to ride in a rear-facing position to ensure their safety in case of a car accident, as advised by Safe in the Seat, a group dedicated to helping parents keep their kids secure in their car seats.

Babies need to be in a rear-facing car seat because their spinal cord is not fully developed yet. This helps provide more support for their head, neck, and spine, protecting their delicate bodies. In the unfortunate event of a crash, a rear-facing car seat absorbs the impact to keep the baby safe.
Now, with Hilton’s children facing the right direction, fans have her back on TikTok.
”No one is perfect love you ,” one wrote.
Another fan praised her for not taking offense, to which she replied, "No, I'm not taking offense. I am a new mom and just learning as I go. So I appreciate advice when it is kind as I'm just trying to be the best mom I can be."
Hilton and husband Carter Reum tied the knot in 2021, and later welcomed Phoenix a few months later through a surrogate. London was born 10 months after that, also via surrogate.
"I have always dreamed of having a daughter named London, and I am so grateful that she is finally here. I truly cherish every moment I spend with her," Hilton shared on Instagram after London's birth. "Being a mother to Phoenix and now London has shown me a love that I never knew could run so deep. My angel babies have brought so much joy into my life."
