Underrated Seth Rogen & Zack Efron comedy climbs Netflix chart

The film Neighbors, known as Bad Neighbours in the UK, is currently ranked at Number 7 in the US Netflix charts. This means that a new audience is being exposed to its raunchy 'Frat Pack' appeal.

Rogen and Efron are joined by Rose Byrne, Dave Franco, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, Jerrod Carmichael, Craig Roberts, Lisa Kudrow, and Ike Barinholtz in the film, which follows the story of a young couple dealing with the challenges of parenthood while living next to a fraternity house.

Directed by Nicholas Stoller with a script by Andrew J. Cohen and Brendan O’Brien, the movie was a box office hit, grossing $270 million from an $18 million budget. The success led to a swiftly approved sequel, Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising (Bad Neighbours 2 in the UK), which expanded the star-studded cast to include Chloe Grace Moretz, Beanie Feldstein, Hannibal Buress, Selena Gomez, Kelsey Grammer, Billy Eichner, and Akwafina.

The sequel only earned $108 million from a $35 million budget, indicating that a third installment is not yet in the works. Neighbors can be streamed on Netflix, and The Iron Claw will be released in US theaters on December 22, 2023, and in UK cinemas on February 9, 2024. Read our four-star review of the movie here.
