The Nightweaver, a formidable boss in the Remnant 2 campaign, poses a significant challenge, particularly for novice players. Her appearance alone is enough to strike fear, and once she enters her second phase, the intensity only escalates. First-time encounters with the Nightweaver may prove difficult for players. Her attacks are unpredictable, and she employs unexpected tactics that can catch players off guard. Nonetheless, defeating the Nightweaver is not an impossible feat, and even players facing her as their first major boss can successfully vanquish her and send her back to the abyss from which she emerged.
Remnant 2 Nightweaver Boss Guide
Nightweaver's initial phase poses the least challenge and is fairly straightforward. With the exception of one attack, all her moves are predictable and easy to avoid. Players can primarily focus on aiming and shooting to initiate the second phase.
The ice projectiles launched by Nightweaver have a remarkably sluggish speed. Players can safely stand their ground and avoid dodging them, particularly when they are positioned far away. By doing so, not only do they conserve stamina, but they also gain more time to take additional shots at Nightweaver. However, it is advisable to sprint sideways to evade the projectiles to some extent, as they do possess some tracking capabilities.
The boss' lunging melee attacks pose the greatest threat in this phase. There are two variations: a charging attack with arm swipes and a delayed tail swipe lunge. Dodging can be challenging, particularly with the latter, but rolling towards the boss avoids both attacks. It's important to note that these are followed by a ground slam move with a surprisingly wide range.
Among the tactics we've tried, the most effective is to maintain a moderate distance to prompt Nightweaver to rely on her projectile attacks. Utilize upgraded weapons with damage-dealing modifications to quickly deplete her health points. Once she is defeated, the real challenge begins.
The Second Phase

Nightweaver transports players to the asylum, engaging in more intense combat compared to previous encounters. During this phase, the boss employs a combination of close-range attacks and her distinctive slow-moving ice projectiles, which pose an increased threat due to the confined space.
It is strongly recommended to confront Nightweaver in the main lobby, as it provides ample room for evasive maneuvers. Additionally, this open area prevents players from being ensnared through walls or overwhelmed by swarming detonating insects. Employing a secondary weapon, such as the Enigma, proves highly effective against her self-destructing minions.
Nightweaver is more aggressive in this area, but her attacks are relatively easy to evade. However, players must exercise caution when she attempts her health-draining grab attack or her deadly ice ball/leap combo, which can result in instant death and can initially be difficult to avoid.
The optimal approach is to remain in the lobby and patiently await her reappearance. It is advisable to equip a secondary weapon augmented with the Scrap Shot modification in order to noticeably limit Nightweaver's movement abilities.
Nightweaver Alternate Kill
Defeating Nightweaver can be challenging, but the effort pays off with Nightfall, an automatic rifle that offers infinite ammo and lifesteal. If players desire Nightshade claw weapons, they must confront Nightweaver once more and successfully execute her alternative kill.
To accomplish this, players must literally shatter Nightweaver's heart. When the boss summons exploding insect companions, she exposes her chest cavity, revealing her vulnerable heart. Targeting it will inflict Weakspot damage, and with enough well-placed shots, her heart will emit a radiant blue glow.
Defeat Nightweaver while her heart is broken, and she will drop the Nightweaver's Finger item, which is used to craft Nightshade. It is important to note that if players get hit by her grab attack during the second phase, her heart will be restored and they will have to break it again. When fighting indoors, Nightweaver will only expose her heart when she spawns bugs while latched onto the ceiling somewhere in the mansion.
Remnant 2 is now available on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S.
