Olivia Munn took to Instagram on Sunday, March 10, to show her followers a behind-the-scenes glimpse into her not-so-glamorous car ride to the 2024 Oscars.

In the video, Munn, who is 43 years old, was seen crouching down in the backseat of a car. She was wearing a floor-length satin Fendi gown.

“This is a standing up dress,” Munn said to the camera. She then pointed the camera at her boyfriend, John Mulaney, who was sitting in the seat in front of her. “And this is a...”

“A sitting down guy,” Mulaney, 41, interjected.

Munn captioned the post: “We’re both in custom @fendi but only one of us can sit down.”

She also mentioned Michael Fisher, Wayman, and Micah, the stylists who helped her create her outfit.

Munn wore a dress with a knotted halter neckline that flowed into a cape trailing behind her. She completed the look with Jimmy Choo heels and long dangling earrings.

Diane Buzzetta did her makeup, giving her black eyeliner, long lashes, and pink lipstick. Cherilyn Farris styled her hair in a relaxed blowout with a side part.

Mulaney wore a black Fendi suit with a bow tie and shiny patent leather dress shoes. He then quickly delivered a sharp standup routine on stage at the Dolby Theater before presenting the Oscar for Best Sound.

The couple, who met in 2015, publicly revealed their relationship in May 2021, shortly after news of Mulaney's divorce from his then-wife, Anna Marie Tendler. Mulaney filed for divorce in July 2021, and it was finalized in January 2022. Their first child, son Malcolm, was born in November 2021.

In an interview with the Los Angeles Times in the same month, Munn addressed the public's speculation about her relationship with Mulaney. She expressed that it's not new for rumors to spread inaccurately and for people to think they know everything about their relationship when they actually don't.
