NVIDIA has announced a hardware event scheduled for January, during which they are expected to unveil new mid-gen GPU refreshes, possibly including the RTX 4080 Super and other Super variants. This event will coincide with CES 2024, where other companies will also be showcasing their products. It has been a significant amount of time since NVIDIA last released Super variants of its GPUs in 2019 with the RTX 2000 Super range, as rumors of RTX 3000 Super cards were circulated but ultimately not released.
These potential new GPUs are expected to be upgraded versions of the cards currently available in stores. These upgrades could include features such as increased VRAM, a higher memory bus, faster clock speeds, or more CUDA cores. However, we won't know for certain until the cards are released. These new GPUs may also pave the way for the upcoming RTX 5000 graphics cards, rumored to be named "Ada Lovelace Next" or "Blackwell," which might be launched in late 2024 or early 2025.
