North West is taking after her dad Kanye West by pursuing a career in music.
During the Vultures listening party in Phoenix on Sunday, March 10, 10-year-old North excitedly shared with the crowd that she has been working on an album. She revealed that the album is titled "Elementary School Dropout."
North's upcoming album title is a subtle tribute to Kanye's first album, The College Dropout. North, the eldest daughter of Kanye, 46, and Kim Kardashian, was seen dancing on stage with her dad while their song "Talking / Once Again" was playing. She was joined by her younger siblings Chicago, 6, and Psalm, 4. (Kanye and Kim, 43, also have a son named Saint, 8.)
Kanye and North released their first song together recently. North not only sang on the track, but also appeared in the music video alongside Kanye and Ty Dolla $ign, who is also on the song and the entire Vultures album. Kardashian showed her excitement for her daughter's music debut after the video came out.
"Miss Westie," wrote Kardashian on her Instagram Story, referring to North's famous line from the song and sharing a clip of North in the music video.

Following the track’s release, “Talking / Once Again” reached No. 30 on Billboard’s Hot 100 chart. North became one of the youngest artists to enter the chart, a remarkable achievement at her age. French singer Jordy still holds the record for his 1992 song “Dur Dur D’être Bébé! (It’s Tough to Be a Baby!),” which climbed the ranks when the artist was just 5 years old. Stevie Wonder, on the other hand, became the youngest soloist after “Fingertips — Pt 2” debuted when he was 13.
While North is making waves in the music industry, she has other aspirations beyond music. In October 2023, she shared her many career goals, showing her ambition and determination to achieve success in various areas.
She shared with i-D magazine her interest in exploring different professions, such as being a basketball player and a rapper. When she was 7, she wanted to be a boxer, but now she is more focused on doing art as a side passion.
North also expressed her ambition to eventually take over the fashion brands created by her parents.
When I turn 13, I plan to start walking dogs to earn money for buying art supplies. Everything is so pricey around here! I also dream of becoming a rapper, a basketball player, and selling my artwork. In the future, I hope to own Yeezy and Skims, and run my own business.
