Nina Dobrev's Response to Shaun White's Hair Transformation Revealed

Shaun White has gone through quite a transformation with his hair.

For years, the 37-year-old snowboarder sported long, bright red hair that made him easily recognizable on the slopes. However, in 2014, he surprised everyone by cutting his hair short and styling it in a sleek comb-over. Recently, when White brought back his longer hair for a commercial, his girlfriend Nina Dobrev was surprised by the change.

When I first met her, I always had short hair. One day, I ended up doing a commercial where they put a wig on me. It was for a scene that required a flashback. When I got home wearing the wig, I thought it would be funny. She was surprised and asked, 'Who's this?' White shared this amusing anecdote with We while showcasing the new CVS snack line Well Market at a tasting event in New York City on Thursday, May 16.

He added, “I was like, ‘Hi, I’m Shaun.’ and she goes, ‘Keep it on. Rock it today.’” 

During the COVID-19 pandemic, Shaun White, a three-time Olympic gold medalist in half-pipe snowboarding, decided to grow out his hair. However, his girlfriend, 35-year-old actress Nina Dobrev, took matters into her own hands to keep his hair in check. In May 2020, Dobrev shared a photo on social media showing herself holding a pair of scissors next to White's head with the caption, "Adding to resume: hairdresser."

Later that same year, it was confirmed that Dobrev and White were in a relationship. According to a source, they were enjoying their time together.

They have been deeply in love with each other, and White recently talked to Us about their plans to fulfill his bucket list after retiring in 2022.

White mentioned how enjoyable it has been to spend more time together since he is no longer competing and she is not as busy with her projects. They have been to various places such as Antarctica, Dubai, France to visit her mother, Monaco, and Indonesia. They have traveled extensively together.

This summer, they are planning to go to Paris for the Olympics. However, it is uncertain if they will still be able to make the trip due to Dobrev's recent hospitalization.
