Nicola Coughlan caused a stir among Bridgerton fans by inadvertently saving thirst trap TikToks featuring her co-star Luke Newton.
In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter published on Monday, May 20, Coughlan, 37, admitted, "I’ll save them and send them to him." However, she was surprised to learn that he could see that she had saved them.
To Coughlan's surprise, observant fans of the series noticed her hitting save on the clips. Newton, 31, shared during the interview that fans were curious about why she was saving the clips and what it meant. He also mentioned that they both had a good laugh about it.
Coughlan saved the videos to send to Newton at a convenient time, but she didn't realize her privacy settings were not in place. She admitted, "I didn't know that my actions were being viewed publicly. I know now!"
The first half of season 3, now available on Netflix since May 16, focused on Colin and Penelope transitioning from friends to lovers. Julia Quinn, the author of Romancing Mr. Bridgerton, found it challenging to portray their relationship authentically.
In an interview with the New York Post on May 16, Quinn, 54, shared, “I just think there’s a different type of emotional investment coming into it. It’s interesting because when I was writing the books, this book, Romancing Mr. Bridgerton, which is actually the fourth in the series, was the hardest one to plot.”
Quinn mentioned that Penelope and Colin were already well-known characters before they took center stage.
She explained, "Usually I have one character with a backstory, and then I can shape the other one to fit the story. But this time, it was challenging to come up with a plot that fit both characters. They already had their own unique experiences."
Who do you think is the most iconic movie couple of all time?
