Nick Jonas is delighted that his daughter, Malti Marie, bears a striking resemblance to her mother, Priyanka Chopra Jonas. During an episode of the "Read the Room" podcast on November 17th, the 31-year-old rock star expressed his appreciation for being surrounded by people who have a lighthearted approach to life. He explained that it is not about making fun of oneself, but rather finding humor in everyday mishaps like walking into a door. Jonas believes this quality is truly wonderful, and his wife exemplifies it perfectly.
Jonas, who tied the knot with the actress who is 41 years old in December 2018, also mentioned that he greatly admires Chopra Jonas' ability to not be overly serious. This quality has already been inherited by their 10-month-old daughter, Malti. Jonas expressed his awe at how their daughter has developed a brilliant sense of humor, an inclination to find amusement in various circumstances, and a mischievous attitude.
Cavanaugh James, the podcast host and longtime friend of Jonas from their childhood in Texas, mentioned that whenever he visits the Jonas family, he notices that Malti is constantly filled with laughter.
Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas happily announced the arrival of their first child, born through surrogacy, in January 2022. Their precious daughter, Malti, spent a significant amount of time, almost 100 days, in the NICU of a nearby hospital before finally being able to join her loving parents at home.
Jonas explained on Friday that having a child teaches you that you can't have total control over everything. This realization has been the biggest lesson for him during a time in his life where he didn't anticipate learning such a lesson. In the beginning, they faced some tough months with their daughter, which was far from their initial expectations. Each day has since been full of different challenges that they never anticipated.
After Malti was discharged from the hospital, Jonas and Chopra Jonas have enjoyed showering their little girl with love and affection. Their daughter even joined them on Jonas Brothers' tour, which began in New York City in August.
"I believe this [recent wrist injury] is a result of holding our daughter. I have this habit of acting as her makeshift seat, and she simply indicates where she wants to go," he humorously remarked during the podcast. "She prefers to face forward when being held and isn't a fan of being embraced. It's as if I am her mode of transportation. And now that she's growing bigger, I'm grateful that yesterday I traced the cause of my wrist pain back to her. 'Ah, it's all because of the baby.'"
