The September 2023 update introduces a new feature called variable refresh rate (VRR) support, specifically designed for current-gen devices. This functionality enables connected monitors or TVs to automatically adjust their refresh rate to synchronize with the frame rate of the displayed content. The ultimate aim is to deliver a seamless and highly immersive viewing experience.

In addition, Xbox console users will soon have the option to invite friends to join their gaming sessions, reducing the frustration of trying to join full or ending sessions. Recipients of the invite can respond with a game or party invitation, along with a chat message.
