The recent update for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2 has dealt a blow to the potential of a couple of popular rifles in competitive gameplay. Players have been busy with the influx of new content that came with the latest Battle Pass, but were not expecting the latest update to impact two of the newest rifles in the game. Season 3 Reloaded brought a wealth of new content to both games, from new game modes and maps to weapon balance changes. These changes have shaken up the game's meta, resulting in competitive players having to adapt their loadouts and explore new strategies. Unfortunately, fans of the Assault Rifle and Battle Rifle will need to adjust to the recent changes made by the game's developers.

The latest update patch notes for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2 were shared by the official Infinity Ward Twitter account on May 31. The ISO Hemlock and Cronen Squall have received balance changes, affecting their damage output, fire rate, and recoil. As a result of the update, the ISO Hemlock will now deal reduced damage to armor, and the Cronen Squall's headshot multiplier and damage will be reduced. Additionally, the semi-auto recoil of the Cronen Squall has increased, and its semi-auto fire rate has decreased. Despite this being one of several times the ISO Hemlock has been nerfed, it remains a popular choice among players in most game modes. The patch notes also mention a number of UI/UX fixes and bug fixes for Call of Duty: Warzone 2. However, the connection issue plaguing Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 has yet to be resolved.
